Babcock-Hitachi K.K. has history of almost 100 years in Japan since B & W (Babcock & Wilcox) of UK established it in 1908 as a boiler parts supplier. The company name was changed to Toyo Babcock in 1928 and then to Babcock-Hitachi K.K. in 1953 as a joint venture of Hitachi Ltd. and B & W. It is now operating as a center firm of Hitachi Group since Hitachi acquired total stock of the company in 1987.
In its long history, Babcock-Hitachi K.K. has been producing cutting-edge products and services in the fields of energy and environmental preservation.
